Portfolio Artifact Description: Students will create a two dimensional home using technological

tools.

What I Learned: I learned how to create a dream home using Power Point. I really enjoyed this

assignment. Not only did it teach me how to better my skills in Power Point, but it also kept me

interested due to the fact that I was creating my dream home. It was a very fun assignment that

taught me how to use the proper tools in order to create lines and shapes in a word processor.

This assignment taught me that there are more than the basics. I never knew how people did floor

plans. I also did not know that it was possible to create one using Power Point.

3: Knowledge Constructor: Students critically curate a variety of resources using digital tools to

construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for

themselves and others.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: Students will really enjoy this assignment. I feel

like this would be a great assignment for older kids as well. We all have a dream home we would

like to live in. Not only does this teach students how to use tools properly, but it gives them

motivation to strive for the dream home they are designing. This assignment might inspire them

to try a little harder in order to achieve their dreams. In addition to that, it will be a useful tool in

creating projects in the future.
