Artifact Description: create three different spreadsheets for three different purposes,

and display the data in spreadsheet form as well as the three most popular chart

formats.

What You Learned: There are various ways in which you can layout data. The most

effective layout for visual learners may be pie charts. I am a visual learner and out of the

bar graph, line graph, and pie chart, I felt that the pie chart was the easiest to read. The

reason for this being that is was clear and concise. Make sure students have laid out all

their information before creating any visual representations.

tools to analyze them, and represent data in various ways to facilitate problem-solving

and decision-making.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: When using an database like Excel,

Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers, do some research on how to operate the main

basics of it. I did not know how to enter in any functions until watching a step-by-step

video of it being performed. Once you understand how to use the application, enter in all

the information needed. Make sure that it is laid out to how the visual will look. Do a test

run with the information you have and see if that's what you want your visual to look like.
The biggest thing is becoming an expert on how to navigate these types of applications,

only then you will achieve the results you want.
