Program Learning Outcomes (PLO’S)

The chemical engineering technology program seeks to provide an environment that enables
students to learn basic engineering principles, build technical skills with professional practice in
the chemical process industry, develop a passion to forever learn, attain the ability to confront
challenges and cultivate a sense of responsibility toward the profession, society and environment.

Upon completion of the program graduates shall be able to:

 Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science and chemical engineering technology

principles and fundamentals to defined practical procedures.
 Conduct and control unit operation and unit process related experiments, as well as to
analyze and interpret data.
 Identify the chemical process industry problems using the engineering and technology
knowledge.
 Apply and utilize appropriate techniques, resources and engineering tools to well defined
engineering activities, with an awareness of their limitations.
 Maintain and control industrial or chemical processes and assist in the formulation of
systems, components or processes using chemical engineering principles.
 Prepare, modify, interpret and present technical documents for chemical process
applications.
 An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
 Ability to communicate effectively and explain chemical process problems with technical
knowledge to constituents in oral and written forms.
