The youth of today is the power of tomorrow

Adult say that youth these days act irresponsibly or worse than their generation. They always
compare their previous experiences and therefore, they come up with that mindset. We can’t
blame them because youth today has a series of understandings and emotions that they did not
possess before.

Today, youth grew up with computers, social media and technological advances that were never
seen during the childhood of their parents and grandparents. As we could notice, technology
brings worldwide events and the internet keeps youth connected at all times. This advanced
technology varies from situation before and now.

Due to the modern influences, today’s youth are more interested in places that are not useful to
them as well as to their nation. Some of them are chose to spend their time in doing drugs and
armed robbery. They spend their nights partying and living it up. More and more young men
and women of this age group are sitting at home or roaming about aimlessly instead of bettering
themselves or going to work. Some of them have no vision and if they have aspirations, they
don’t have the desire to make any attempt to achieve it. Youth must get control of this. They
must learn their responsibilities and goal setting. They must change their lifestyle and start to be
a role models of the next generation.

While the fast pace of living that humans experience today has many negative aspects associated
with it, the youth have managed to turn this into something positive when building their
character. It is teaching them to increase their knowledge and become decision makers. Youth
characteristics are built on the expectations that a lot of well-grounded people are setting for
themselves. They have aspirations of what they must expect from the workplace and what they
want to do with their future.

Young people are a significant segment of society because they are the foundation for future
growth. They are consider to be the change-makers in society and can act as a pressure group to
persuade policy makers in identifying their goals. It was specifically emphasized that youth are
not only tomorrow’s leaders but today’s partners. In order to achieve this, they must show the
older generation that they are wrong on having a bad mindset about them. They must prove this
little by little. If that happens, they would be proud of themselves for achieving the goal of their
nation.
