Engineer in Training - Civil

Ready to put your expertise to work on marquee transportation projects that will change the urban fabric of our
community? Parsons is now hiring a engineer in training to grow and help lead our well-established business, as
well as help support larger transportation projects in the Greater Toronto Region involving the study, planning,
and design of infrastructure such as complete streets, linear infrastructure, rapid transit facilities, and other
transportation systems.

In this role, you will carry out a multitude of responsibilities, that will vary on each project that you work on. This
can include:

Participating in the delivery of transportation impact assessment studies for private sector developments,
including Client and City liaison, technical analysis, community consultation, etc.
Contributing to the completion and/or management of larger transportation projects of varying complexity;
Performing multi-modal analyses and comprehensive traffic operations analysis using state of the art
analysis software applications in support of transportation studies and infrastructure design projects;
Remaining informed of emerging trends in transportation planning/engineering;
Managing or coordinating the work of other disciplines and firms and work within a team environment;
Contributing to the preparation of proposals;
Preparing project planning schedules and budgets;
Preparing and deliver presentations;
Be on the vanguard for new clients and/or projects; and
Managing or assist in monitoring the financial performance of assignments.

You will have a combination of the following education and experience:

4-year degree in Civil Engineering or Urban/Regional Planning, is required and 2+ years of related work
experience, or equivalent, is preferred.
Professional registration as an Engineer, or Registered Professional Planner, or EIT in Ontario is required.
 Strong Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (with an emphasis on EXCEL and WORD applications) and
common engineering software such as AutoCAD.
