2. JUSTIFICACIÓN

The criterion to determine that a project manager is successful in his work is to validate that
he carries out the necessary processes to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and close it. Even
events that mean canceling project execution occur, the project manager is successful in his
work because he follows the best practices. The companies normally carry out established
processes, however, the continuous improvement of the same leads to the emergence of
initiatives to create new products, processes or deliverables that will justify their
investment, therefore it is necessary for every engineer to know what these best practices
are to complement your professional growth.

3. OBJETIVOS

3.1. OBJETIVO GENERAL

Understand the different process groups related to project management.

3.2. OBJETIVOS ESPECÍFICOS

 Learn general concepts and terminology.


 Identify organizational structures in order to know where the project
manager could go to get resources.
 Identification and analysis of stakeholders and their goals or agendas from
the project.
 Understand Integration Management as the high level work that a project
manager must perform.

 Understand Scope Management as the work required and ensure that only
that work is done.
 Understand Time Management as the responsibility to comply with the date
of completion of the project.
 Understand Cost Management as the knowing in advance the expenses and
reducing the chances of exceeded budget.
 Understand Quality Management as the time dedication to avoid rework and
problems, instead of dealing with them.
 Understand Communication Management as the opportunity to generate,
collect, distribute, store and retrieve information.
 Understand Risk Management as the group of processes to identify events
that could occur and impact the objectives of the project.
 Understand Procurement Management as the practice to obtain goods and
services.
 Understand Professional and Social Responsibility in order to know what is
proper and principled on a professional and personal basis.

Primera nota parcial: 30%
Segunda nota parcial: 30%
Nota final: 40%,
Éstas tres de promediarán y se tomará una definitiva
