Samples should be clamped securely to ensure satisfactory cutsand prevent slippage that could damage wheel, Adequate coolant prevents specimen heating; even cooling promotes uniform wheel wear and straight cuts. Adjust coolant flow with Ancle Valve # 41 (Fig. 4) for the 10-1015 Cutter and with Ange Valve @ 70 (Fig, 5) for the 10-1010 Cutter Cutting pressure is important to maintain correct Wheel brealedown, To bring the sample into on- tact with the wheel, pull upon Handle (17 Fig, 9). ‘Tho prover rats of spoed varies with the whcol Used and the material being cut, and can best be dptermined by experience, An oscillating pressure Is often he}pful for herder materia, Abrasive wheels are available in various combine tions, and should be selected to suit the machine ‘and the sample. Refer to the wheel recommenda- tions listed on page 13, If cutting problems are encountered, refer to the Trouble Shooting Chart also on page 13. 4 meee eat FIGURE 5. 10-1010 Cutter Fic. 6 6 NS NS REF. 501 502 503 504 505 506 507 50.8 50-82 609 5093 50.95 509 s003 50.92 5091 50.93 5091 509) 509) 509% 509m 5090 5099 5099 5099 509° 5091 5095 50.10 £0.11 50.12 50.13 5015 £0.18 50.17 PART NO. 101682 2858 R212 1016s R58 R494 101683220 101683 101683P 1016S3F 1016S3H 1016S3M Rei ro1esac 1016838, 101683A, 101683) 1016-30 1016S3N 1016830 101653h, 1016827 101631 1016838 1016 5SK 1016836 R.2720 2743 1010878 R27 10-3055 R260 Rat R609 Reoow * Available as part of assembly only.
