The Project E

The following document gives an outline of The Project E, this project is intended to be a
permanent annual function of the COE, the entrepreneurship cell of the Indian Institute of
Amritsar. The idea of this project is to instill a macro-understanding of running a business, in
the participants, by a hands-on experience through direct engagement with the owner of
the entrepreneurial venture.

Objectives:
 To locate an entrepreneur in the Amritsar city.
 To understand the business model.
 To identify, analyze and rectify the existing issues in the business model.
 Or improvise and improve upon the existing model.
 To document the whole process and prepare a report within a span of 2 weeks
 Present the work in front of guest faculty.

Benefits of this exercise:

 The members will have an enriching experience of working with the assistance of a
senior student member of COE and solving problems of the entrepreneur
participant’s business venture.
 The participants who successfully complete the process will have a substantial CV
point.
 Innovative ideas and solutions will be documented by the participants and adopted
by the entrepreneur participants.
 IIM Amritsar will gain additional recognition in Amritsar.
 This exercise also aims to cultivate associations with the entrepreneurs of Amritsar
which can be eventually be used for
o campus recruitment of students
o sponsorships
o guest lectures
o knowledge sharing
