News Release
SAN FRANCISCO – Everlane launched their first sustainable sneaker line for consumers to
purchase online and in stores beginning April 25th. The innovative release called the Tread is
created with full-grain leather sourced at a gold certified tannery and incorporates recycled
materials such as plastic and rubber.
The production of the sneaker substantially decreases greenhouse gas emissions by 54%, uses
47% less electricity, 67% less water, and 46% less carbon dioxide than the average sneaker
manufacturers.
The brand currently has 3 collections under this release for men and women. The Avenue
Edition for everyday use, the Solstice Edition for long day wear, and the Core Collection for a
monochrome look. Each shoe is made to be comfortable, long lasting, and trendy.
Everlane’s zero impact sneakers are just the first step for a sustainable future. The company is
striving to reduce environmental impact while also nailing fashion trends by creating in-season
colors and garments.
Tread is now available to purchase online and in stores, retailing for $98.
