In this module, there are 5 lessons:

Lesson 1 Definition and elements of a short story
What is a short story?
-tell about a single event or experience
-fictional (not true)
-has a beginning, middle and ending
-creates an impression on the reader
Elements of a short story:
1. Setting

2. Characterization
creation of imagery who appear to be real to the reader.
The writer gives information about the characters in the story.

A plot pyramid consists of:
-exposition: sets the stage for the story

-conflict: a in the story that needs to be resolved
-rising action! a series of conilicts or events which advance the plot and engage the reader in the
story
-Climax: when the action comes to its h snes point of conflict
