AIR DRYER

Removes moisture in compressed air.

FILTERS

Removes all contaminants in the compressed air that might affect the compressed air system.

DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM

Valves and piping needed to transport the compressed air to the point of use.

> Basic Data Requirements

(For Compressed Air System Calculations)

Before starting to select the equipment and design the layout of a compressed air plant, many data as
possible should be known. It is important to know the ambient condition at the compressed air plant
location to properly choose the right equipment for the system. The following data should be gathered
prior to any selection:

 Altitude above sea level

 Average absolute barometric pressure over the year
 Minimum barometric pressure
 Maximum barometric pressure
 Average ambient temperature
 Minimum ambient temperature
 Maximum ambient temperature
 Maximum wet bulb temperature
 Relative humidity at average condition
 Maximum relative humidity at maximum condition
 Dominant wind direction
 Airborne dust loads
