 Nursing informatics "is the specialty that integrates nursing science with multiple
information and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage and communicate
data, information, knowledge and wisdom in nursing practice." (American Nurses
Association)

 Nursing informatics is a field of nursing that incorporates nursing, computer, and


information sciences to maintain and develop medical data and systems to support
the practice of nursing, and to improve patient care outcomes.

 Nursing informatics refers to the practice and science of integrating nursing


information and knowledge with technology to manage and integrate health
information. The goal of nursing informatics is to improve the health of people and
communities while reducing costs.

 Nursing Informatics is the "science and practice (that) integrates nursing, its
information and knowledge, with information and communication technologies to
promote the health of people, families, and communities worldwide."

 Nursing informatics is a field dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care


through efficient management of data and technical systems. Using data, an
informatics nurse can analyze trends, monitor for any consistent errors, and
implement new, more efficient systems. Informatics brings advanced technology to
the daily work of nurses.

 Nursing Informatics is a specialized profession that involves the integration of


nursing science and the analysis of various sciences to acquire, study, manage, and
share information that relates to the practice of nursing. It is a specialization very
close to nurse research. A main goal of nursing informatics is to use this data to
support nurses, patients, and everyone else involved the healthcare system make
the best decisions and achieve optimal health outcomes.
