The project for monitoring and controlling the critical environmental
conditions has been successfully implemented using wireless sensor network based on zigbee and atmega328p microcontroller based embedded systems. The system is designed, implemented and analyzed for finding its ability to control various environmental criticalities and updatability to a web server timely for monitoring remotely. This system will be labor-saving for the farmer and report environmental changes immediately, thereby enabling the farmer to prevent adverse consequences. This is a low cost, ease-to-use and flexible to implement system as it can be integrated into small and medium sized shrimp farms with few modifications. Currently this system also provides many options which are user friendly enabling the farmer to manage all the necessary farming factors resulting in increased productivity. With some added features the system can be expandable to large scale farms. The system is being tested continuously to find the reliability of the system in real life applications.
FUTURE WORK:
After testing the reliability based on observation its is planned to implement
the system in a shrimp farm for automation. We also planned to expand the system functionality in fish farms, agricultural irrigation, plantation, ploy house and nursery farming systems with few modifications in our system. We hope the system will be more useful for future agricultural automation system and it can help the farmers to reduce the cost of production and it can enhance the profit of the farmers in various ways.
