The effects of Failing Grades of the Grade 10 Students of OLPMS to their viewpoint

INTRODUCTION
Failing grade is one of the major problems or concerns for some schools. It is breakdown
of a student’s ability to learn. Having a failing grade can affect a student’s self-esteem and will
have a big impact for a student’s behaviour. It is a lack of success in education that leads to
lower grade and also to depression. It is a concern for parents, teachers and mostly to students.
Failing in education concerns might include issues such as learning difficulties, no achievements,
lack of attention from teachers and bullying. Upgrading the Quality of Education System is a
significant factor for schools because the students can achieve so much and it is also a result for
academic success which can lead them to achieve their goals and become successful. On the
other hand, having a Failing grades will have a big impact and may cause a big problem for your
education and for achieving your goals. Failing is having a failing grades, and failing grades can
cause repeating a grade level and it will be hard for you to achieve your goals in life. According
to studies, this problem is increasing every year which means many students cannot handle their
studies. The failing has a various aspects of educational failure such as frequent absence from
classes, dropout and as what I have mentioned above it can cause repeating a grade level.
Failing in school can also affect your future! A student with failing grades will have a problem
for his/her occupation in the future. Learning is one of the basic foundations of all human beings
and this is particularly needed for the development of every students.

REASONS
The reason why we choose this topic is to determine whether is it a big deal to have a
failing grades or not, if it would affect a student’s behaviour, and why many students commit
suicide because of it. We want to know how to avoid failing grades in order to lessen the number
of students who failed in this Institution and to lessen the numbers of students who suffered from
anxiety or even worst, from depression. Because we don’t want to hear that in the end, there will
be student in this institution who will commit suicide just because he/she got a failing grade. We
also want to know how to improve every student Grades and Behaviour so that it will not be
difficult for every student to have a decent job in the future.
OBJECTIVES
1. To know how it affects their behaviour
2. To know the factors why they got a failing grades
3. To know how to lessen the numbers of failure students
