Submit 4 learning experience plan summaries, each plan will support a different developmental
domain from WMELS. Include the following information in each learning experience plan
summary:
*For the remaining domain you will write and implement one full (long) activity plan.
Observation Domain: Health and Physical Development
Name and type of learning experience: Tape Shape Game
I.B.EL.1a. Moves with strength, control, balance, coordination, locomotion, and
endurance.
I.B.EL.2 Exhibits eye-hand coordination, strength, control, and object manipulation.
In 3-5 sentences, a description of the teacher’s role during the learning experience and what the
children will be doing.
Use tape to put a variety of shapes, letters and/or numbers on the floor within your
classroom. Have each child stand by a shape, letter or number and then give them
instructions to follow that will lead them to their next destination. Example would be:
bear crawl to the square, or hop like a frog to the letter “T”.
In 2-4 sentences, explanation why the learning experience was chosen and how the activity
supports child development specific to the developmental domain.
This activity will keep the children moving, but also helps them learn their shapes, letters,
and numbers.
This will be a creative way for them to apply some of their small and gross motor skills.
