Planning and Curriculum Goals

Submit 4 learning experience plan summaries, each plan will support a different developmental
domain from WMELS. Include the following information in each learning experience plan
summary:
*For the remaining domain you will write and implement one full (long) activity plan.
Observation Domain: Health and Physical Development
Name and type of learning experience: Tape Shape Game
 I.B.EL.1a. Moves with strength, control, balance, coordination, locomotion, and
endurance.
 I.B.EL.2 Exhibits eye-hand coordination, strength, control, and object manipulation.
In 3-5 sentences, a description of the teacher’s role during the learning experience and what the
children will be doing.
 Use tape to put a variety of shapes, letters and/or numbers on the floor within your
classroom. Have each child stand by a shape, letter or number and then give them
instructions to follow that will lead them to their next destination. Example would be:
bear crawl to the square, or hop like a frog to the letter “T”.
In 2-4 sentences, explanation why the learning experience was chosen and how the activity
supports child development specific to the developmental domain.
 This activity will keep the children moving, but also helps them learn their shapes, letters,
and numbers.
 This will be a creative way for them to apply some of their small and gross motor skills.
