SuBIECT TEMPORARY TRAVEL BAN TO AND FROM SOUTH KOREA
DUE TO COVID-19
DATE 28 FEBRUARY 2020
Relative to the recent update on the imposition of travel ban to countries severely
affected by COVID-19, as a protective measure against the spread of such, and as
‘agreed by the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, the
following guidelines shall be strictly observed
1, TOTAL BAN on Filipino citizens traveling to any parts of South Korea
(including Jeju ister);
Exemptions:
‘a. Permanent Residents (PR);
b. Students; and
. Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs)
Filpinos who fall under the above exemptions shall execute and sign a
declaration signitying their knowledge and understanding of the risks
involved, prior to their travel.
2. TOTAL BAN on travelers coming from the North Gyeongsang Province
or Gyeongbuk of South Korea, including Daegu and Cheongdo County:
Exemptions:
2. Filipinos and their spouse or children;
b. Foreigners with Philippine Permanent Resident visas
(Sec. 13, £0324, RA7919, Native Born (NB), MCI-07-021,,
MCL-08-003, 47 Refugee);
c. Members of the Diplomatic corps
PATRIOTISM + INTEGRITY + PROFESSIONALISM “M43. Travelers NOT coming from North Gyeongsang Province, Daegu and
Cheongdo shall be allowed entry;
4, Transit passengers shall be allowed entry and departure as long as NOT
transiting through the said areas of concern;
5. Ensure completeness of information in Arrival Card specifically the “Address
Abroad’ field; and
6. If necessary, check address of arriving Koreans as indicated in their Resident
Registration Certificate
