1.Edinburgh Castle

2. Nelson Monument

Nelson Monument is Situated in the Calton region and on the south-western


side of Regent Gardens.
The Nelson Monument stands gladly on Calton Hill and is a commemoration to
Admiral Nelson's acclaimed triumph at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. This
landmark was worked in 1816 and was structured looking like Nelson's
telescope by Robert Burn in 1807.

3. Craigmillar Castle

The medieval Craigmillar Castle is currently overseen by Historic Scotland and


this old L-formed tower house is encompassed by a later castle wall.
Craigmillar was at one time a most loved spot for Mary, Queen of Scots, who
fled here after the homicide of David Rizzio in 1566, and visitors will have
