This hybrid power plant system will focus on the integration of concentrated solar

energy cycle and the gas turbine cycle as combined cycle for air preheating cycle used

in steam generation. The gas turbine generates steam through a heat recovery steam

generator while in the solar energy cycle, the concentrated solar energy panels

captures heat from the sun to heat the solar feed water heater. Through the expansion

vessel, temperature of the feed water will be regulated. The concentrated solar energy

enters the solar steam generator that heats up the feed water entering which results the

generation of steam. The steam from the generator then enters the waste heat recovery

system which increases its temperature until it reaches superheated state. The

superheated steam will enter the high pressure turbine then will be heated again

through the reheater before passing through the low pressure turbine. From the low

pressure turbine, the steam enters the condenser and will be cooled by means of cold

water circulation. The condensed steam will be pumped to the low pressure open feed

water heater then will passed the deaerator. The steam from the low pressure turbine is

also used for heating the water from the feed water to maximize the efficiency of the

cycle. The feed water exiting will be pumped simultaneously to the solar feed water

heater exchanger and the waste heat recovery system. In this stage, the concentrated

solar power CSP will be used to pre-heat the feed water from the deaerator using
concentrated solar energy. The heated feed water will then enter the solar steam

generator and the cycle starts again. The generated electricity of the turbine will then

send to the transformer that will distribute the electricity to the power grid.
