Muslims who Have Real Understanding of Faith Celebrate Mawlid

Mewlid is one way of glorifying God, because that's how we remember our Prophet p.b.u.h.
In the Islamic faith, for one birthday in particular, Muslims abstain from outward celebration
and observe Mawlid, the birth of Allah's last messenger Prophet Muhammad, with simplicity.

Muslims use Mawlid as a way to honor Muhammad's life and use it as an opportunity to
spread Muhammad's mission in the community.

Prophet Muhammad said it very explicitly, 'the best of the people is the one who is most
useful to them.' Notice the word: „people“. He did not say believers, but all people. Meaning
if we want to follow the instructions of Prophet Muhammad, we have to ask ourselves the
question, 'what positive impact are we making on the community at large?' That is very
important.

Why celebrating Mawlid?

People who really understand islamic religion celebrate Prophet's birthday because that's
remembering of our Prophet, remembering his mission, remembering Qur'an. Also in our
territory, mawlid preserves earlier built tradition established on roots of islamic teachings and
credo, and saves our identity. Even God says in surah Ad-Duha in the last verse: „But as for
the favor of your Lord, report [it]“ and Qur'an is full of verses where it's said that Muhammad,
p.b.u.h., is God's mercy to all of the worlds. So, isn't a mawlid where we glorify and mention
God and Prophet following these orders given to us by God?
