And in Ma’ani Al Akhbaar from his father from Sa’d Bin Abdullah from Muhammad Bin Al Hassan from

Muhammad Bin Khalid from his brother Sufyan Bin Khalid who has narrated the following from Abu
Abdullah:
Abu Abdullah (as) said: ‘Beware of leadership! No one has sought it but has been destroyed’. I said, ‘So,
we are all destroyed, for there is not a single one of us except that he loves to be mentioned and to
attract the people and to be obeyed’. He said: ‘It is not as you have understood it to be. It is when you
appoint a man without the Proof (Al-Hujjat) and ratify everything that he says and call people towards
his statements’.

Muhammad Bin Isa from his father from Hammad Bin Isa from Umar Bin Azinat from Aban Bin Abu
Ayyash from Suleym Bin Qays Al Hilali who said that he heard the following from
Amir Al-Momineen (as):
‘Observe caution in your religion from three men. The one who recites the Quran until you see its effect
on his face and he unsheathes his sword on his companions and accuses them of ‘Shrik’ (Polytheism)’. I
said, ‘O Amir Al-Momineen! Which one of them is a ‘Mushrik’ (Polytheist)?’ He said: ‘The accuser. And
(the second) the one who considers lies to be light, and everything that he narrates is a lie, and each lie
being bigger than the previous one.
And, the one whom has been made to be a Sultan and he thinks that obedience to him is the obedience
to Allah  and disobedience to him is the disobedience to Allah. This is false because in disobedience to
the Creator, there is no obedience to the creation. It is not appropriate to love the creation in
disobedience to the Creator nor should there be obedience to any by being disobedient to Him.
Whoever disobeys Allah should not be obeyed. The obedience is to Allah and to His Messenger and
those in authority (UluIl Amr). Verily, Allah has Ordered the obedience to the Rasoul Allah for he is
infallible and Pure and will not issue any order for disobedience to Allah, and verily He has Ordered
obedience to those in Authority (Ulull Amr) because they are Infallible and Pure and will not issue any
order for disobedience to Him’. Al-Khisal

Message of Amir-ul-Momineenasws:
‘O group of our Shiites and the claimants to be those that love usasws, beware of the people of opinion
for they are the enemies of the Sunnah. Ahadith have run away from their memories and they have no
intention of protecting the Sunnah. They have taken the servants of Allahazwj as their followers and
their wealth to be their own riches. After having witnessed this, a lot of people have become obedient
to them just like ‘‫ ’ الكالب‬dogs. They have snatched away the rights from the rightful people and have
become like the true Imams and they are from the ignorant ones and the unbelievers and the accursed.
When they are asked about something they don’t know about, they do not admit their ignorance, but
make use of opinion and go astray and lead others astray.’40 40 Tafseer Imam Hassan Al Askariasws – H

‘Imam Aliasws, recipient of divine supreme covenant, in one of his sermons has said, ‘O people, mischief
begins with following certain desires and obeying certain man-made rules that are different from the
rules and laws of the book of Allah. In such a case, people yield to other people as a higher authority.
If falsehood had been clear it remained so to the people of Intelligence. If truth had been clearly distinct
differences would not emerge. But (in practical life) people mix certain parts of truth with a few things
from falsehood and present them together. In such case Satan overwhelms his friends and only those
who have previously received protection from Allahazwj remain safe.’37 37 Al Kafi, Vol. 1, H 157, Ch. 19,

The Holy Imam Jafar Al-Sadiqasws said: ‘You and taqleed? Whosoever adorns this in religion is
destroyed. Surely, Allahazwj has Said: ‘They took their Rabbis and Monks as their Lords besides Allah
(9:31), No, by Allahazwj! They did no pray nor fast but they made permissible which was forbidden to
them and made the forbidden permissible. They emulated (did taqleed) of them in this and obeyed
them and they did not recognise (that they have worshiped them).22 22 Tas’heeh Ul Itiqaad – Sheykh

And by the above chain: ‘The Rasool Allah

saww said: ‘One who from my saww community
memorises forty Ahadith, benefits the people by them, Allah azwj will Send him on the Day
of Judgement as a Faqih, a knowledgeable one’. 16 16 Wasail ul Shia, H. 33299

‘Recognise the status of our

asws Shiites in accordance with how many good narrations
they relate from us asws , for we do not consider the ‫‘ ’ الفقيه‬Faqih’ from them to be a Faqih
unless they are narrators of Ahadith’. It was said to him asws , ‘Is a believer a narrator of
Ahadith?’
He asws said: ‘He is an understanding one; and the understanding one is a narrator of

Imam Hassan al-Askariasws said: Whoever from among the ‘al-Fuqaha’ safeguards himself, is protective
of his religion, opposes his temptations, is obedient to his Master’s commands, then the common
people must do his ‘taqleed’ (emulate), and this is only applicable to some of the Shia ‘Fuqaha’.13 13 -

Tradition from Imam Al-Mahdi asws in a reply to Ishaq ibn Ya’qub: ‘As far as newly occurring
circumstances are concerned, you should refer to the narrators of our Ahadith, for they are my proof
over you and I asws am Allah azwj’s Proof.’23 23 Ahtijaj al-Tabrisi, Vol. 2, pg. 469.

Prophet of Allah pbuh:"The Calamity upon Calamity

for my nation from the Big Shoora(consultation)
and the Small Shoora.So they asked about it and
he said:"The Big Shoora will begin to my nation
after my death for the usurption and forcing my
brother(Ali)and the rights of my daughter, and
for the Small Shoora it shall happen in the long
occultation in Zawra(Baghdad),to alter my Sunna
and alter my principles"-Manaqib AlItra-Mi'atain

And from Abu Al-Abbas who said,

‘I asked Abu Abdullah (peace be upon him) about the smallest thing which makes one to be a Mushrik
(Polytheist)’. He said: ‘One who innovates by opinion, and loves and hates by it.’

Abu AbdAllah (peace be upon him) said: 'One who makes it to be religion without having heard from the
Truthful (as), Allah necessitates from him destruction, and one who calls after having heard from a door
other than one that Allah has opened is a Mushrik (polytheist), and that door is a security for the hidden
secrets of Allah.'

Imam Al-Saadiq a.s says:"Be Aware of Taqleed(imitating scholars)

for whoever imitates someone in his religion has perished for Allah
says in the Quran"They took their Rabbis and monks as Lords
without Allah"By Allah they haven't prayed for them neither did
they fast for them, but they made halal what is haram and made
haram for what is halal, so they copied them in this manner,
and so they worshipped them without even realizing."

Prince of the believer a.s "And he shall avenge from the Fatwa
Issuers (scholars)in religion from what they don't know about, so
Woe unto them and who followed them, was religion missing so that
they can erect it? Or was it bent so that they can straighten it?
Or did the people ask for what opposes it and agreed to its
opposition? Or did it force them to do righteousness so they
sinned against it? "Bayan Al-A'ema A.S V.3 P.298/I lzam Al Naseb v.1 p.196

From the Prince a.s. he said ( O folk of our Shia, those who pretend to be on our wilaya, beware of the
companions of opinion, for verily they are the enemies of the ways of those before you, the hadeeths
escaped from them and they did not memorise it, and the sunna made them weary. They took the
servants of Allah swt as slaves, and his money into nations, so the necks submitted to them in
abasement, and the creation that is similar to dogs obeyed them. And they challenged the truth and its
people, so they appeared like the truthful infallible imams, when they are from the cursed ignorant
ones, and they were asked about that which they know not. So they refused to admit that they do not
know, so they opposed the religion through their desires, and deviated and misguided. Verily if religion
was by analogies, the wiping of the inner of the feet (sole) would be more important than the outer. )

‘I said to Abu Jafarasws: ‘Matters get referred to us whose existence we do not find in the
Book and the Sunnah, we speak on them by opinion’. Imam asws said: ‘If you get it right
you will get no reward for it, and if you make a mistake you will have forged a lie

(Abu Abd Allahasws said to me): ‘Beware of two characteristics! Whoever indulged in
them got destroyed. Beware of issuing Fatwa to the people by your opinion or making
as religion that what you do not know’.85 85 Ibid, H. 33102
‘I witnessed Abu Abdullahasws in the Masjid of Al-Kheef, and heasws was encircled by two
hundred men, and among them was Abdullah bin Shibrama who said to him asws, ‘O Abu
Abdullahasws! We are the judges of Iraq and give Judgements by the Book and the
Sunnah, then if problematic matters get referred to us we strive (do Ijtihad) in them by
judgement,’ until he said that Abu Abdullah asws said; ‘Is there any man like Aliasws Bin
Abu Talibasws (among you)’ Ibn Shibrama said, ‘Heasws was great!’
Abu Abdullahasws said to him: ‘Even Aliasws did not include hisasws personal judgement in
the Religion of Allahazwj, nor said anything in the Religion of Allah azwj by opinion and
analogy,’ until heasws said: ‘Had Ibn Shibrama known where destruction lies for the
