The weakness of Dalton's atomic theory

In subsequent developments found various facts that can not be explained by the theory, including:

a. Cannot explain the electrical properties of matter.

b. Cannot explain how the atoms bind to one another.

c. Dalton's atomic model cannot explain the difference between one atom of an element and another.

Weaknesses can be explained after the discovery of some atomic constituent particles, such as electrons
discovered by Joseph John Thomson in 1900, the discovery of proton particles by Goldstein in 1886.

The advantages of Dalton's atomic theory

Can explain the Law of Immortality (Lavoisier's Law)

Can explain Permanent Comparison Law (Proust Law)
