Critical Area for Follow Up: Southern High School will continue to seek, establish and maintain partnerships (public, private, military, etc.) with
community organizations to provide its’ students with an optimal educational environment and employment options.

Goal 1: SHS will engage in purposeful partnerships that will provide students an opportunity to go directly from school to post-secondary
employment.

Objective 1: SHS will establish a Community Partnership Cadre (CPC) that will champion the efforts to provide students a direct link between the
school and workforce.

Objective 2: SHS will establish an MOU/MOA with local businesses or organizations to guide the communication and activity protocols.

Objective 3: SHS will provide support to students for employment opportunities.

Critical Area for Follow Up: Southern High School will explore the implementation of a formalized, schoolwide mentorship program for new teachers, given the
relatively high rate of teacher turnover at Southern High School.

Goal 1: New teachers will receive effective training and mentorship within their first three years of teaching at SHS.

professional development.
