I. Objectives:
Use the past form of regular and irregular verbs

II. Topic:
“Past form of regular and irregular verb”
Material: Stories, poems, magic box, and Practices exercise

III. Procedure:

A. Oral language Activity:


Give the past tense of the underlined word. Let the pupils read the poem after putting in the past tense of the
verbs. Refer to the LM, read and learn

B. Teaching/ modeling
What are the underlined words in stanza one, two up to three?
Recall; which are regular verbs? Irregular verbs?
How do we form the past tense of regular and irregular verbs?
Let the pupils read again the chart with regular and irregular verbs with present and past tense.

C. Discussion:
The teacher will discuss on the uses of the past form of the regular and irregular form of the verbs.

D. Guide Practice

Group the pupils into 4 groups. The teacher will give different work activity to each group to be completed.
Group 1 – Group2 – underline the part of the sentence which is personified.
Refer to LM, try and learn
Group 3 – Group 4 – will write on a Manila paper samples of personification.

Write P if the sentence uses personification and N if it does not.

A. Motivation
Ask the pupils who among them watch news last night? Aside from the television where can we get or read
news? Is it good to know the news? Why?

B. Presentation
Listen to news taken from a school paper. Be ready to answer questions that begins with who, when, where,
why and how. Note the news is all about teacher Adjarani.

B. Discussion:

The discussion will be through questions from the news that they have read.
1. Who received an award?
2. What award did she receive?
3. When did she receive it?
4. Where did she receive it?
5. Why did you think she was awarded?
6. How did she get the award?

C. Guide Practice
Group the class into 4 groups;
Let each groups create news about current trends and events that happens now a days. After the given time
each group will go in front to report their news to the class.

IV. Evaluation:
Tell the pupils to create their own news story and let them give emphasize the important facts to be

This is a tortoise. Say something about it. What do you notice about its shell? Are tortoise shells not smooth?

I. Objectives:
Composing a slogan from a given stimulus
II. Topic:
“Composing Slogan”
Material: Stories, poems, magic box, and Practices exercise

III. Procedure:
A. Pre - Listening:

1. Motivation:
What comes into your mind when you think of slogan?

2. Presentation:
The teacher will post on the board the different popular slogan.
Samples: Metro bank “You’re in good hands”
Levis “Quality never goes out of style”
Save a tree for life

3. Guide practice:
Show pictures about the environment. What would you like to happen to our environment? Write a
slogan about it. Then illustrate your slogan on a poster. Let the pupils work on independently to their task.
What is the message of the first slogan? Ask the same questions until the last slogan. After discussing the
given slogans the teacher will elaborate the use of slogan and how to make it memorable to everyone.

IV. Evaluation:

Read the following slogan. Give the meaning of it.
