Abstract
The efforts of government officials in developing human resources in government organizations
have an important role in determining the achievement of development goals in general,
especially as an effort to achieve social welfare and provide the best public services. To do this,
of course, it is necessary to improve the quality of government officials so that they can do their
best to accelerate the achievement of objectives. Therefore, government officials must possess
several characteristics such as high expertise and skills, extensive knowledge, good talent and
potential, good personality, motivation, morals and work ethic. Improving the quality of
employee resources becomes very important and needs to be done in a planned, directed, and
sustainable manner in order to improve capability and professionalism and high integration.
Employee training with the aim that the organization has employees who are ready to carry out
their work, so that they can achieve goals more easily and employees can develop attitudes,
behaviors, skills, and knowledge about work effectively. Employees who have competency in
their work will get the opportunity to follow the stages of a career path and will achieve a good
career path. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of training on the career
development of civil servants in Indonesia.
