Dance Extravaganza: A Reaction Paper

On the 31st day of August 2019, Dance Extravaganza— the highlight of

intramurals and the most awaited part during the MSU Foundation Week was held at
Dimaporo Gymnasium and the said place was crowded with lots of people to witness
the program. A lot of dancers performed varied dancing techniques and types to
showcase their talents in dancing. I have seen dancers wearing their heavy costumes
and others carrying it.

During the afternoon, Latin Dance, Contemporary Dance and Modern Dance
were performed by different colleges. I have not really watched all the performances
but from what I can remember during the second category which is the Contemporary
Dance, CBAA (College of Business Administration and Accountancy) performed a dance
about depression. CHARM (College of Hotel and Restaurant Management) portrayed a
mourning dance and CSSH (College of Social Sciences and Humanities) performed a
dance about ghosts. I was fascinated with the dancer’s costumes during Latin Dance
because they were wearing lively colors like yellow, orange and red, with all their shiny
props. While on the third category which is the Modern Dance, I was really shocked and
amazed because the impact of their dances were really strong and amazing. Especially
when it is CHS (College of Health Sciences) who performed because they were all girls
and they did bring home the bacon.

Overall, the activity was enjoyable and satisfactory. I got the opportunity to
watch people showcasing their talent in dancing. Although I was not able to take a
picture with some of the dancers, the experience was good.
