Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease that is characterized by a variable

incubation period and generally long, and its etiology agent has a very wide host range, the
behavior of a particular system conceptualized and communicated. Tuberculosis is caused by
Mycobacterium tuberculosis.. Nurses play an important role in tuberculosis control programs,
nursing interventions require a recommendation system that improves the performance and
support of health care using the nursing intervention program for tuberculosis patients by
using epidemiological models :

1. Assess the patient's knowledge and practices regarding tuberculosis and

epidemiological models.
2. Develop and implement intervention programs in accordance with epidemiological
models.
3. Evaluate the effects of nursing interventions on patient knowledge and practice of
epidemiological models.

Patients with tuberculosis were studied to increase their knowledge and improve their
practices regarding tuberculosis and epidemiological models, after implementing the
program. Health Education Program is implemented in four phases:

a. The first phase of the preparation: review of the literature, current national and
international levels in various aspects of the problem. The questionnaire tool is
designed to assess the patient's knowledge and practices concerning epidemiological
models before and after implementing the program.
b. The second phase of assessment: pretest questionnaire was carried out to identify the
patients' knowledge about tuberculosis and their practices to prevent infection.
c. The third phase of the planning and implementation: An intervention program was
designed, with a common objective to evaluate the effect of intervention programs for
the prevention and control of tuberculosis related knowledge and practice of
epidemiological models. The fourth phase of evaluation: To evaluate the impact of
health education programs and practical knowledge on tuberculosis patients with
using epidemiological models through the use of similar to the pretest posttest
applied.
