Enjoying playing in sand pit

Rowaa you are a very quiet and independent girl and you love outdoor
activities. Today after morning tea our children engaged themselves in
different activities outside the classroom. After I put on sun screen, I saw you
went and sat around the sand pit, you picked up some sand pit toys and played
nicely. You were so busy digging the sand with the spoon and putting it in the
basket, I asked you ‘what did you make’, and you said ‘cake’. It was amazing
how you spent most of the time in the sand pit. It was close to lunch time, and
as I told children to tidy up because it was time to go inside the class. Rowaa
you came close to me and pointed to the dust pan which was hanging near the
sand pit area, I gave it to you and started to sweep and clean around the sand
pit area. It was wonderful to observe children being busy with various
activities, especially the ones they enjoy. Through this activity, I can see Rowaa
care for the environment by sweeping the sand around the playground, making
sure it’s clean and tidy.
Next time Insha’Allah we will provide new activities that will help develop your
communication skills in English and help you to build up relationships with
other children and teachers, as well as by becoming more independent and
building self-esteem.
