The sensory aspect of speech consist of auditory, sight and sensing aspect that is used to
understand what is heard, seen and felt. There are two process of sensory aspects of speech :

a. Receptive process - The decoding process

As soon as the stimulus is received, the formation of the reticulum in the brain stem will compose
tone for the brain and determine which modalities and stimuli the brain receives. Girus and the
auditory association area will sort out incoming contribution information. Then sent coded
linguistics, sent to the left temporal lobe to be sent. Linguistic analysis was carried out in the
Wernicke area in the left temporal lobe. Angular and supramarginal girus helps the process of
integrating information, auditory and linguistic representation.

b. Expressive process - The encoding process

The production process is located in the same area of the brain. The structure for the incoming
message is arranged in the Wernicke area, the message is forwarded through the arctic fasciculus to
the Broca area for the decomposition and coordination of verbalizing the message. The signal then
passes through the motor cortex which activates the muscles of respiration, phonation, resonance
and articulation.
