We will see a massive

Tracking threats from the four-kilometre wide

asteroid that will
distance corners of space approach Earth in April
this year!

There are millions of asteroids in our Solar System.

Most of them keep to themselves as they orbit the
Sun. But a subset of these asteroids have orbits
that come one in a little too close and cross the
orbit of the Earth around the Sun. In this particular
blog, I will describe only two of them. Most
probably, I will describe two more in my next blog.

1. The biggest asteroid to 2. Asteroid 136795 (1997

fly past the planet in BQ) comes in second but
2020 will be the huge it’s still a kilometre wide.
four-kilometre wide It’s also faster at 42,048
52768 (1998 OR2) kilometre per hour and
travelling at 31,320 will be flying marginally
kilometre per hour. closer to Earth than
52768 (1998 OR2).
