Different Types Of Angles
➢ Adjacent Angles: Adjacent angles are two angles that have a common
vertex and a common side. The vertex of an angle is the endpoint of
the rays that form the sides of the angle.

➢ Vertically Opposite Angles: Vertical Angles are the angles opposite each other
when two lines cross. They are always equal . In the adjoining picture , angle 4,2 and
1,3 form vertically opposite angles
➢ Corresponding Angles:Corresponding angles are created where
a transversal crosses other (usually parallel) lines. The
corresponding angles are the ones at the same location at each
intersection

➢ Complementary Angles:Two Angles are Complementary

when they add up to 90 degrees (a Right Angle).
➢ Alternate Angles: Two angles, formed when a line crosses two
other lines, that lie on opposite sides of the transversal line and
on opposite relative sides of the other lines. If the two lines
crossed are parallel, the alternate angles are equal.

➢ Supplementary Angles:Two Angles are Supplementary when

they add up to 180 degrees.
