help with his training, reward for good behavior or a way to keep him calm in

Homemade Beef Stew

Source: Life At Clover Hill

Eating the exact same thing everyday has to be boring for our dogs, but altering
the dry food they eat without caution can be very bad for they’re health.

So, every now and then, we like to cook them some nice, dog-appropriate beef
stew. This is our (and their) favorite recipe.

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 25 Minutes

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef, chicken or turkey
1 large potato or sweet potato, diced
1 medium carrot, diced
½ cup frozen peas
Water

Instructions
1. Saute the meat in a large pot until no longer pink. Don’t drain the fat because
that’s good fat for your pooch! If your chose a leaner meat like chicken or turkey,
add in couple of tablespoons of coconut oil
2. Add in the potatoes and carrots
3. Pour in just enough water to cover the vegetables. Bring to a boil, reduce heat
and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are cooked.
4. Stir in the frozen peas
5. Allow to cool before serving. Refrigerate or freeze extra portions

way to keep them safe.

Small pot
2 oz olive oil
2 oz coconut oil
1 oz shea butter (don’t replace with cocoa butter, it’s toxic for dogs)
4 tsp beeswax

Instructions
1. Melt all the ingredients together over low heat while stirring.
2. Pour the mix into the tins and leave to cool until they harden again. It should
last between one to two years as long as you store it somewhere cool.
