Chippewa County International Airport (CIU)

If you were a passenger on flight 4212 into Chippewa County International Airport (CIU)
on Sunday, March 15th @ 10:45 p.m. from MSP (Minneapolis, MN), it was determined by
Algoma Public Health (APH) that a Canadian passenger aboard that flight tested positive
for COVID-19. APH is asking all Canadian passengers aboard that flight to contact them.
American passengers should contact Chippewa County Health Department for further
guidance (906) 635-1566.

Chippewa Travelers: For several weeks, the airport janitorial staff and the airline staff
have provided more frequent cleanings to all surfaces in the airport terminal and on the
aircraft. The same was true after this flight.

The CDC has asked anyone that is not feeling well to refrain from contact with groups of
people; and to refrain from public gatherings if you have been in contact with someone
that may have the virus. This applies to air travel as well.

Chippewa County International Airport and Delta Airlines will continue to protect the
health and well-being of all CIU passengers.
