CAREER GUIDANCE
Carmen National High School celebrated the 2019 Career Guidance Week last
September 23-26, 2019 at Carmen National High School covered court. It was participated by
the Junior School and Senor High School respectively, with the guidance of the strong pillar
stakeholders, Mayor of Carmen, Mayor Carlo Villamor, School District Supervisor, Mr.
Glicerio L. Camonggay, School Principal of Carmen National High School, Dr. Arlene D.
Buot,Assistant Principal, Mrs. Melannie Grace M. Locsin, Master Teachers, Head Group and
Advisers.
It started with the parade in the morning, followed by the “Booth Hopping” (from the
different strands and levels) with a short program, then, the discussion of the different modules
done by the section advisers.
This activity really help the Grade 12 learners since in Module 1, is the information on
the different senior high school curriculum exits and regulated professions that will facilitate
them in decision making as they pursue college. In Module 2, the learners unleashed their
knowledge and skills, like their innate talents, interests, skills, and abilities to help them identify
their potential with the help of given activities. In Module 3, the learners modified and
influenced their decisions for the future with the help of the several sources of information about
career choices.
After Module 7, students learned and guided to explore the occupation applicable to their
chosen career. Lastly, Module 8, they are ready now to face the new chapter of their lives and to
climb another ladder to succeed.
If people will fully realize the importance of career guidance, everyone will be taking
advantage of the opportunities to change one’s life and make it better and students will never get
scared of the first signs of struggles and challenges.
All the efforts of the stakeholders are further acknowledge the activity as a vehicle to
guide students to make informed decisions in choosing the right career.
