12-00 Lubricated spring bush

Description - Lubricating the spring bolt

Note the following when lubricating:

• The vehicle should be unladen
• Before lubrication, clean the grease nipples and surfaces from which grease seeps
out.
• Renew damaged grease nipples.
• Make sure that grease leaks from all the bearings. This will ensure good lubrication.
• If no grease leaks out during lubrication, there may be a fault. Perform
troubleshooting and take the necessary action before the vehicle is put into operation
again.

Removing the spring bush

Remove the rear spring or front spring enough to make the spring bush accessible.

IMPORTANT!

99 003 Hydraulic hole cylinder, 16t should be
positioned with the hydraulic connection closest
to the leaf spring eye. Otherwise, there is a risk
that 99 009 Puller or the hole cylinder could
become damaged.

Use 99 249 Adapter for 36 mm bushes. Use socket 99 009-2 for a 46 mm bush 99 009 
Puller.

Fitting the spring bush

Use 99 249 Adapter for 36 mm bushes. Use socket 99 009-2 for a 46 mm bush 99 009

1. Spring bush

Fitting - Spring bolt

1. Screw on the spring bolt.

2. Fit the clamp screws without tightening.

3. Rotate the spring bolt to adjust the distance

between the spring and spring bracket.

4. Tighten the clamping screws when the distance

is the same on both sides of the spring.
