Set up of elementary resistive circuits, measurements of d.c. voltages, d.c.
currents and do the computer simulations before/after the each lab activities
(it’s recommended that you finish it before).

ACTIVITY: 1
1. Set up the following circuit.
Conditions:
• 2 volts < V < 6.2 volts
• R ≥ 2.7kΩ
• Measure and tabulate: This is a schematic of a dc series circuit where V is voltage
Vab, Vbc, Vce, Vde, Vad, I1 supply, R is resistance and a, b, c, d, and e are the different
nodes
• Briefly explain your results.

ACTIVITY: 2
2. Set up the following circuit.
Conditions:
• 1.2 volts < V ≤ 7.3 volts
• R1 ≥ 3.3kΩ This is a schematic of a dc parallel circuit where V is voltage
supply, R is resistance and a, b, c, d, and e are the different
• R2 ≥ 2R1 nodes

• Measure and tabulate Vab, Vbc, Vcd, Vde, Vad, I1 and I2.
• Briefly explain your results (compare with the theoretical and
simulation results).
