During this time, Serena has shown the upmost professionalism. She’s committed to the well being of students, treats all students fair, and has demonstrated good classroom management skills, Serena has also demonstrated flexibility. This was evident with the number of teachers she’s ‘worked with. Her collegial attitude towards her teaching partner has had a positive effect on students. This is evident by the frequent affection students show her. Parents have also commented on how well she communicates with them, especially when they have to receive unfavourable news about their child's behaviour. Serena has learnt a number of effective pedagogical practices. She's very familiar with the inquiry process used to guide kindergarten students and she has demonstrated a solid understanding of how to document student work for assessment and evaluation purposes. In addition, Serena will provide descriptive feedback for students which allows for them to improve on their knowledge and skills. One of the things that is most commendable about Serena is her passion to learn. Within the time I've know her, Serena has taken a number of courses and have been certified in areas outside of the educational field. All of this while writing and publishing her autobiography. She hhas a gift of effectively balancing her personal and family responsibilities in addition to her professional ones. Overall, Serena is a dedicated and passionate professional with the belief that one can obtain ‘what one desires if the goals are clear with a definitive plan.
