San Juan, PR 00901
Dear Governor Vazquez,
I write to inform you of the current available Small Business Administration (SBA) Loan
Resources in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. Small businesses which are
significantly affected by the pandemic are encouraged to apply to these federal loans in order to
maintain the safety, security, and health of their employees.
It is first required you submit a request to the SBA in order to make any such Economic
Injury Disaster Loans available to Puerto Rico. Once a declaration is made for designated areas
‘on the Island, the application process will be available for respective small businesses. The SBA
Economic Injury Disaster Loans offer up to $2 million in assistance per small business to help
‘overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing.
Should you need any assistance with this request, please let me know if my office may be helpful
in any way. In addition, the SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance is also available to reach for
additional guidance to submit the request for Economie Injury Disaster Loan Assistance.
