Professional Expectations For EAL Student Helper

-Be aware that the operation of the library reflects upon the staff here at EAL and the overall
impression of Princeton University. Student conduct and performance must be in keeping with
university expectations of professionalism. Dress attire during shifts can be casual, however, no
undergarments should be visible and students should arrive clean and alert.
-For safety reason, please wear closed-toe shoes.
-The use of personal laptops or cell phone is NOT permitted during shifts, however, the use of
headphones while working is okay.
- Be very careful with materials.
-There is to be NO FOOD while working. Drinks are acceptable ONLY in containers with lids.
If you are working a long shift and need a break for food please inform your supervisor and sign
out that you need 15 minutes break.
-Cell phones should be kept on silent.
-Performance on tasks is recorded by the supervisor. If patterns of negligence in performing
such duties arise students may be subject to disciplinary measures.
-Students are expected to show up ON TIME for shifts.
-Should you be unable to make your shift, you must email the supervisor prior to your scheduled
time. Please be proactive and communicative.
**Please do sign-in and sign-out with 15 minutes intervals.
