Existing Solutions

NetSuite is a world’s leading business management software solution


owned by Oracle. It is packed with loads of features including an integrated
system covering finances, CRM, eCommerce, inventory management and
more. Founded in 1998, with its excellent feature set, it

started getting attention of many worldwide businesses
and now, in 2019, it is used by more than 40,000 organisations. All of
its key business features are cloud based and easily accessible. In
2016, NetSuite was acquired by Oracle Corporation for
approximately US$ 9.3 billion (Netsuite, 2019).

Epos Now is another cloud-based software provider


oriented towards design and manufacturing of electronic
point of sale (EPOS) systems. It is relatively

base in Norwich, England. Since it had been
released only few years ago, Epos Now is
designed with the modern UI standards in
mind, and it provides a really good-looking
modern store management solution. It is
the largest EPOS provider in UK and its cloud-based system can be accessed
from anywhere and provide real time reports. Epos Now counts more than
30,000 users today, and with the current rate, it gains a new customer each
30 minutes (Epos Now, 2019).

Lightspeed is a POS and eCommerce software company based in Montreal,


Quebec, Canada. It was founded in 2005 by Dax Dasilva with his main goal

experience. From 2016 to 2011, Lightspeed recorded a massive 1900%
growth and they have soon become one of the fastest growing
companies in Canada ever. Currently, Lightspeed are only focused on
providing their solutions to small and medium size organisations. It
is also worth to mention that, aside their solutions for retail
business, Lightspeed provides another solution specially designed
for restaurant management (Lightspeed, 2019).

Retail Pro was founded in mid 80’s and is one of the global leaders in retail
management software worldwide. They provide both point of sale
software and hardware solutions. The company also offers fast, secure and
reliable card Figure 4 - Retail Pro machines which can be used on store checkouts. After
over 25 logo years of business, Retail Pro counts more than billion
transactions annually and usage in more than 52,000 store locations
worldwide. The product is easily scalable and made for both small and
large businesses. Recently, the company has introduced retail mobile POS integrations on
iOS, Android and Windows Phone devices (Pinnaca, 2019).

NovaPOS is small scale retail technology solution, founded in 2008 in United


States of America and owned by Granbury Solutions. Nova was designed by
retailers, who previously owned a chain of restaurants, with a goal of making

an easy to use retail solution that is not overloaded with features that are

most of the time unused. Nova is also designed with a goal to help users
generate revenue for retail business. It is relatively new solution, with a good
support for modern mobile technologies (SoftwareAdvice, 2019). The user
count for the solution is not publicly available, but it is concluded that the
solution has a significantly smaller user count than the previously listed
solutions due to low number of posts and user reviews about it online.
