Background :
Hospital is a health care facility which provides complete health services and making it as
a complex organization with no surprising that adverse events will often occur with result
in injury or death to patients.
There is a comprehension related to assessment of falling risk does not guarantee nurses
to always implement the assessment properly on patients due to various inhibiting factors,
including the patient's condition (rebellious, unstable patients, raging patients, GCS
scores change, and seizures). Factors of the patient's family (the absence of family when
the patient enters the ward). The nurse factor itself (busy nurses, many patients who need
supervision, lack of adequate human resources and high workload, and leadership and
management factors).

Aim of the Study :


To determine the application and the usage of equipments to patients with risk of falling.

Formulation of the Problem :


From the explanation above of falling risk assessment application, the nurses not properly
perform appropriate intervention to the patient's condition, and the patient is also not
wearing a yellow bracelet for moderate and high risk of falling. Therefore the formulation
of the problem is “How is the Falling Risk Assessment Application in RSUD
Langsa Inpatient Ward, 2018?”
