Lx Models Audio Controls
Note: Control operations are described. Check your vehicle for
the types of controls used.
TUNE/Selector knobibar:
Changes the radio station,
AMIFWIXM button:
Selects AM, FM1, FM2, XM, or XM2 (if equipped)
Preset Button:
Selects the desired station stored in a band (AM/EM1/
FM2IXM1/XM2). To store a station, press and hold the desired
preset bution until you hear a beep, then release,
SKIP buttons/bar:
‘Seeks upward (>>) or downward (<<) to find the next station
with a strong signal
ASEL buttonibar:
Tus on AUTO SELECT — This scans both bands and stores
the strongest stations in the preset buttons of each band.
Tip: You will not fose your selected presets. They will come
With Navigation back whon you turn off AUTO SELECT.
CD (CDIAUX) button:
Fm OE Selects the CD player or CD changer.Audio Display

Most audio system functions can be controlled by
standard butlons, bars, and kiobs. In addition, you can
access some functions by using the selector knob on the
‘audio sysiem. Press ENTER to select an item.

Many audio and navigation functions can be accessed or

When either FM band is selected, RDS program category
can be selected, using the either side (a oF ¥) of the
CATEGORY (models with XMY/FOLDER (models without
XM) bar to display and select a RDS group. See the
owner's manual for the principle RDS calegores.
RDS Search - Press and release either side of the
SKIP baributton to search up and down for the next RDS
station in your selected category with a strong signal. If
ALLis selected, all RDS stations will be searched.
RDS SCAN - Pross and release the SCAN button to
sample all available RDS stations in your selected RDS
category. ALL is selected, all available RDS stations will
bbe scanned, Press the button again when a desired station
is reached

LX Models
With Navigation
LOAD button (6-CD changer only): Loads @ CD in the next
availabe slot (1=6) or the slot selected.
Eject button: Ejacts the cisc current selected.
SKIP buttonfbar: Press and release >>I to skip forward to the
ont track, oF 144 to skip Backward to the beginning of the curront
track. Press and hold efter side to mave rapidly within @ track
FOLDER bar (non-XM)/CATEGORY bar (XM equipped) (MP3,
WMA Mode): Press the (4) to skp to the beginning ofthe next
folder. or the (v) side to skip to the beginning previous (~) folder.
DISC REPEAT: Solect from menu items to continuously replay the
courtent cise (6-CD changer).
REPEAT (Track or File): Pross and roleaso RPT on the
RPTIRDM bar to continuously replay a track (fies in MP3 or WMA,
mode} Press and hold for 2 seconds to cancel
(FOLDER REPEAT bar: Pross ond release RPT on the
RPTIRDM bar two tmes to replay in order al tracks/ies in the
Selected folder. inthe order they were recordes:
RANDOM bar (within a disc): Press and release RDM on the
RPTIRDM bar to play all the tracks on a disc in random order.
Repeatedly press and release to randomly pay files in MP3 or
WMA format
FOLDER RANDOM bar: Press and release RDM on the
RPTIRDM bar 2 times to pay all the les in a selected folder in
random order. A beep sounds and F-RDM appears in the cispiay
when activated,
SCAN TRACKIFILE SCANIDISC SCAN: Press to hear 10-second
‘samples of a tracks or fle on the disc, in recorded order. SCAN
‘appears in the display when acto. Pross for 2 soconds to
‘enctvate this feature,
F-SCAN (FOLDER SCAN) (MP3, WMA Modo): Pross two times to
sample 10 seconds ofthe hit fe of each folder. F-SCAN appears
in the display. To turn of, press the SCAN button or either side of
the SKIP button,
TITLE button: Press to dsplay information about tracks (CD
mode). files or folders (MPSIWMA format),Playing Discs
To load a single CD in the player:
Insert the CD halfway into the CD stoi. The drive pulls it
in the rest of the way, Ittakes a few seconds for the CD
to load
To remove a CD:
1. Press the Eject button.
2. Remove the CD as it comes out.
To load muntiple CDs in the 8-CD changer:
1. Pres and hold LOAD button until the system beeps
2. When “LOAD" is displayed, insert a CD into CD slot.
'3,When “LOAD' is displayed again, insert the next CD.
4. Repeat until all six positions are loaded.
Tip: If you are not foading COs into al six positions,
press ihe CD bution after the last CD is loaded, or wail
70 seconds and the system stops the load operation.
To remove multiple CDs in the 6-CD changer:
1, Press and hold the Eject button until system beeps.
2. Remove the CDs as they come out
Tip: If you eject the diso, but do nol remove it, the
system automatically reloads it aler 10 seconds.
Play Mode
Press the TITLE button and the felling is displayed:
* CD text data - Album, atist, track name
+ MP3 or WMA format - Folder, fle name, artist, alburn,
‘and Wack tag,
EX, EX-L models: Use the selector knob or interface dial 10
‘access PLAY MODE, thon solact the adjustment io be mado.
Note: When MP3 or WIA discs are playing, PLAY MODE
‘appears as a selection. This mode contains 8 sub-nodes.
Changing Folders, Tracks/Files (MP3 and WMA modes)
1. The selector knob can be used to select a folder or
trackifle on the list.
2. Press ENTER (pusir in the selector knob). The display
‘changes to a three-folder list
aa3.Tum the knob fo scroll o a desired folder then press
ENTER to select the folder. The display changes to a
three-track ist. Tur the knob fo scroll to a desired
folder, then press ENTER to select the track.
Select Repeat, Random, or Scan Modes
‘To select any of these modes:
1. Pross the MENU button to display menu selections.
2.Tum the selector knob to cisplay PLAY MODE and
press ENTER.
3.Tum the selector knob to the desired mode and press
ENTER

To tum off any of these features:
1. Press the MENU button, selact PLAY MODE and
press ENTER.
2. Select NORMAL PLAY and press ENTER.
