Swimming is an ideal sport for kids for many reasons. First of


all, it keeps your body and mind healthy. Children who participate in
swimming might avoid health issues such as obesity, diabetes.
Moreover, because of the low impact nature of swimming, injuries are
rare. It is also a sport that teaches kids protect themselves and other
people from drowning. An investigation shows that approximately one
out of five people who die from drowning are younger than 14. As a
result, by teaching kids swimming skills, you equip them with water
skills that can increase water safety. Besides, learning swimming helps
children relax. Many psychologists proved that swimming can improve
children's mood. In free time, they can learn an amazing new sport as
swimming. What's more, they might also meet and make many friends.
Therefore, their free time becomes more meaningful. Some people
who don't support for learning swimming say that it doesn't help their
kids achieve essential skills for their future. However, by learning
swimming, children will be more dynamic and improve many skills such
as communication, team work, and individual work. To sum up, you
shouldn't let your kids skip swimming lessons in school or summer
holidays.
