• Rank in upper 1/3 of your class • Rank in upper 1/2 of your class
• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher • Cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher

• Remember that courses through the public institutions will transfer between each of the 6 public
schools. Courses through the technical institutes may or may not transfer (check for the T in the
course number to verify they will transfer to the public universities). If you intend to transfer to a
different school, or out-of-state, consult with the school of your choice regarding transferability.

• Go to www.sdmylife.com
• Select ‘Prepping for College’ at the top navigation bar
• Select ‘Dual Credit’ at the right
• Scroll down to find ‘Dual Credit Registration’
• Select either Technical Institutes or Board of Regents depending on where you are registering
o You will only complete ONE application for all BOR courses to your primary university.
• Complete the online application by adding yours, a parent/guardian’s, and Mrs. Popham’s email address
(shelby.popham@k12.sd.us) for approval.
• Watch for a confirmation email from the school you applied to & follow any steps to create an email
address, accounts, and purchase books to be prepared for your courses!
