You are on page 1of 4

1. Each component is numbered.

Number 1-4 is for shelves,

while number 5 is for the frame. You will need glue to attach
the components to each other.
2. Find and separate components according to their numbers.
3. Start building the shelves starting them with the piece, that
will serve as the back piece.

4. Glue the middle dividers to the back piece.

5. Glue the bottom piece to the structure.

6. Glue the side pieces (with the holes in the middle) to the
structure.

7. Glue the front piece to the structure.

8. Repeat the above steps for #2, #3 and #4 shelves. The pieces
may differ slightly, but they follow the very same logic.

Note: For #2, #3 and #4 shelves the front pieces are very
small and does not cover the entire front the same way as it
is in the #1
9. Use a generous amount of glue to attach the dowels. Watch
out that they do not extend inwards beyond the edge of the
wood, as the whole length of the dowel will be used.

10. At this point probably some glue is visible on the outside of

the shelve. While it is wet, attach the first circle, so it is also
glued to the structure. Let this dry before proceeding.
11. The 2nd circle on the picture on the left does not require
glue, its purpose is to provide distance from the frame. (see
next)

12. I suggest using super glue to attach to the side of the #1

shelf. This will provide stability, so it must be strong: I
suggest gluing the whole part of the #1 shelf surface, that
will be in contact with the frame. Let this dry before
proceeding.

Note: be careful not to put superglue to #2-#4 shelves, as

those will be moving pieces. Gluing them will be a major
problem later.
13. Attach the back piece of the frame.

14. Attach moving piece. Do NOT use glue here.

15. Glue the remaining circles and close the mechanism. Be

careful with the glue, the moving piece should be avoided or
at least touched minimally. Let this dry before proceeding.

16. When everything is dried, start opening and closing the

shelves. Do this by grabbing the #4 shelve edges and move
it up and down. When you do this, try to keep the shelve
horizontal otherwise it might get stuck. Sometimes the
shelves also tilt a bit forward, when this happens it should
be gently pushed back so that they remain vertical. There
may be a need for few opening and closing before it gets
comfortable.
