To Whom It May Concern:

I had the privilege of educating Isabella “Bella” Rahal in her second semester medical and surgical clinical
rotation. I knew immediately upon meeting her that she is going to make a great nurse someday. She has
an aptitude for learning and retaining pathophysiology, Bella excelled at utilization of evidence-based
nursing processes, and she has a great bedside manner that patients found approachable. Bella is a hard
worker, a great fit to be a part of a nurse residency program and ultimately can care for patients that span
all age ranges, but her heart is especially for the care of children.

Bella exemplifies the attributes that a young nurse should have. She is hard working and motivated to learn.
She is one of the few students in my life as an educator that was able to complete a skill one time under
supervised guidance, and then be able to repeat the skill with a great deal of independence on another
clinical day. She retained almost all of the new information given to her within each clinical day and then
applied it to other patient situations. She is a very adept critical thinker. Bella was the caregiver for a young
man with cerebral palsy. She also has a philanthropic heart by volunteering her time to people on hospice
care and at Ronald McDonald House. She has completed clinical hours in adult medical/surgical units, ICU
environments, and pediatric units. This has helped to make her a very well rounded student and young
nurse.

When Bella is not studying, she enjoys traveling and spending time with friends. She has life balance that
allowed her to always came to clinical prepared to work hard, contribute to group discussions, and engage
with her patients. I know she will continue this exemplary work ethic.

Being a part of a nursing residency program will assist Bella in obtaining her dream of becoming a pediatric
oncology nurse and there is not a more deserving candidate of a slot in your residency. Bella will become
the kind of nurse that will integrate into a multidisciplinary team and really collaborate with her peers to
provide top quality, patient centered care. She is exactly the type of student that embodies all of the core
principles that make becoming a health care professional so special.

Very Respectfully,
