1.1 Narrative Report of the Accomplishment

Conducting this project has indeed helped me become the best version of myself. I was
able to enhance my skills and capabilities that are very essential for me to grow as an
individual. Continuing this project is made possible because of my sheer passion and
dedication to the Girl Scouting Movement, inspiration by the other Chief Girl Scout
Medalists and of course the encouragement I got from my parents, troop leader and
workgroup.

I started the project by getting some pieces of advice and recommendations from my
troop leader, council executive and parents. I made an initial decision that the project would
be Feeding Program. A month later, I changed it to Gardening /Beautification under Ecology,
in which I pursued. I then looked for a location wherein I could be able to plant herbal and
various plants .

I could really attest to that saying that in order to reach success, one must first go through
failures and rejections. That time my parents would say No because of that big
responsibilities , therefore I will not be able to focus in my academic .

I got discouraged but it didn’t stop me in achieving my dream. To get there Yes I try to
explain them what is in my heart and what is my big purpose of that project is, To help the
community , our mother earth and also myself in molding me . And that time God answered
my prayers my parents allowed me to join and to accepted the challenge , when I thought
everything would run smoothly after having the location for my project site, things weren’t
just in favor of me at that time.

Again, I somehow got discouraged and was almost ready to give up but God is really
mighty for continuously sending me people that would uplift my spirit. My parents and
friends, workgroup give some motivation thoughts that my spirit and heart healed from those
trials .And that negativity turns into positivity.

I immediately set a meeting with the Barangay Captain and I told him about my
Gardening / Beautification Activity that will be held in their Barangay in Ladgaron. He gave
me his support with the said activity. I then bought seedlings and fertilizers that will be used
for planting.

I gathered my workgroup and hired someone that could assist us in planting in the area.
There is also an in-charged for the day-to-day handling of the planted herbal plants to make
sure that it will maintain its growth.

The project was evaluated on this May 18, 2018 at the Claver National High School
Gymnasium . It was attended by the Regional and Council Evaluators, Barangay Officials,
my parents, troop leader, and workgroup. It was deemed successful and I was recognized to
be one of the recipients of Chief Girl Scout Medal.
1.2.1 Effects on the Community

The Gardening Project was able to benefit the community people in which they
became more aware of the current condition of our planet and it is one of their duties to act in
order to help save it. They are now encouraged to plant herbal plants so that it could help
minimize greenhouse gases and could help during rainy season. More importantly, they
realized how important it is to take care of our environment just like how we take care of our
own selves.

1.2.2 Effects on the Candidate

The project made me realize the significance of nature in our own lives. Without
it, we would not be able to use the things that we have right now. I’ve also learned the
essence of community service and how one simple act could make a difference to other
people’s lives. I became more responsible and mature, most especially, in making wise
decisions not just for my own benefit but also to the people around me. I also learned to be
versatile in different situations and in meeting different people.
