Study Plan

The textile and apparel industry is the gate of choice for most developing countries in their
quest to step into industrialization. Along with the technological developments in recent
years, developments in the textile sector as well as in many sectors have played a major role
in the increase of environmental problems. The main environmental impact in the textile
industry is manifested by the discharge of high amounts of chemical loads into the receiving
environment.
During the last few decades knowledge and awareness of environmental problems has
increased among the public. Pure water is important concepts that are continually being
demanded by more people. Environmental aspects are also becoming increasingly important
with regards to decisions about the future of society and technical advancements. To prevent
and solve environmental problems as well as to better plan for different environmental
problems of the future, more knowledge of the environment and environmental problems are
required. For the most part this environmental research is being carried out by universities
and colleges.
My previous education was Chemical engineering cleaner production program study with
special interest in nanomaterials. Based on my scientific research, I learned about
nanomaterials particulary for Carbon Nanodots (C-Dots) as photocatalytic degradation of
waste from textile industries. In my later study at Master of Science in Chemical and
Materials Engineering in National Chin-Yi University of Technology (Chin-Yi Tech), I
would like to deepen my knowledge about material technology such as optoelectronic
material, green material, and particulary for nanomaterial and skills development in chemical
engineering process as it is stated in the education characteristics of Department Chemical
and Materials Engineering. I also expect to collaborative research with experts and join to
industrial internship program in Taiwan.
During my stay and study period in Taiwan, I have several plan such as to increase my ability
in Chinese language and enhance my knowledge about Chinese culture, since I have also
been engaged in transcultural communication in community setting. As for the length of time,
I am planning to complete my degree in Master of Science in Chemical and Materials
Engineering – National Chin-Yi University of Technology (Chin-Yi Tech) in two years.
During these two years, I will do my best effort to finish my study on time, without ignoring
the quality of my research and study.
For my career goals, I want to be a expert process engineer in chemical industries. I have a
strong commitment to realize the concepts consist of emphasizing knowledge, hardworking
and responsibility. Of course, to be a process engineer must commit with those concept, I
have to increase my quality of knowledge, research and practical skills. Beside of being a
process engineer, in the future I want to be the entrepreneur to built my business in renewable
energy field. Nowadays, building up and maintaining an international network between the
educational institutions is highly needed, especially in this more globalize world. My mid-
long term goal is developing the Taiwan-Indonesia’s relations and cooperation, in political,
economical, and cultural fields.
