Case study of superior group of colleges:

We have taken case study of Superior Group of Colleges Kharian Campus. The case is higher
authorities decided to open a new branch of Superior College near Mian Gee Hotel. GT
Road , Kharian. The old campus was located at opposite side of SKY WAY restaurant,
Kharian. Principal of Old campus was Mr. Ali Rafey and Principal of new Campus was Mr. Ali
Malik. The reason for opening new branch was that majority of female staff and MD at Old
Campus want Miss Fouzia as their principal. But it is the rule of Superior Group of Colleges
that they never appoint Female as their principal. Because of Staff Management conflicts,
teachers were not taking the lectures due to which students were suffering so the higher
authorities decided to close the old campus.

Inauguration of New Campus was held in July 2016. The staff at the old campus didn’t shift
to the Building of New Campus, they have started taking classes and continue all the
educational activities under the name of superior college although the Head office of
Superior Group of Colleges have closed their branch that was located at the opposite of SKY
WAYS restaurant.

All the regular educational activities started at the new campus but later on they came to
know that Old Campus is still open and old staff is taking classes under the name of
Superior College. On February 2017, the roll number slips for the final exams of Inter Part II
was not issued to the students of Old Campus because old campus was not affiliated with
the Superior Group Of Colleges anymore which causes chaos among students and their
parents. Parents reported that they did not shift their children from Old to New Campus
because Old staff misguided them that if they transfer their children to the new campus
then they have to start their Degree from First Year again. The second cause of this incident
was the miscommunication of Management of new campus.

The New Campus file Sue against the Old Staff in September 2016. First hearing of case was
in Lahore High Court in which they mentioned that they are entrapping people by using the
name of Superior College. The case continue till April 2017 and High Court gave the verdict
in favor of Superior College. High Court imposes penalty on the old staff for infringing the
trade mark under the Trade Mark Ordinance 2001. They
