History
Community Action for Improvement (CAFI) is public organization
that were created by the federal government and found in 1966.
CAFI has provided services for over 45 years to low income people
in five surrounding counties services are including Carroll, Coweta,
Heard, Meriwether, and Troup counties. The CAFI organization is
a free, federally funded program that provides educate to pre-
school children with structured learning developing their skills for
the next level of education.
Mission
The Head Start program mission is to promote school readiness
by enhancing the social and cognitive development of low-
income children through the provision of health, educational,
nutritional, socially and other services that are determined to be
necessary based on the family needs assessments. The 1994
reauthorization of the Head Start Act established a new Early
Head Start program for low-income families with infants and
toddlers.

Brief for Consultants
The Villa Rica Head Start/CAFI is taking advantage of the
consultant to undertake community engagement training
process for their current employees and other supporters
within the faculty.
Workplace Orientation
All new employees are schedule for orientation on the first 5 days
of employment. The orientation is location in LaGrange, Georgia
at the main office for CAFI organization for employment benefit,
educational, and company knowledge.

Manager is responsible for managing a comprehensive Head Start Program
as outlined in the Head Start Performance Standards with respect to Child
Center Manager (1) $30,000 Salary
and Family Outcomes; Supervision of Head Start Center Teachers; Staff
Training and Facility Management.
Provide oversight and support to Early Head Start partnerships. Implement
Lead Teacher (2) short term and long range planning for service delivery, monitoring and $13.00 Hourly
training.
To perform duties as an instructional assistant as assigned by the teacher and
Teacher Assistant (2) principals spending a maximum portion of the day working with students in $9.00 Hourly
academic areas.
Ensures high standards of food production, financial control, nutrition, and
Food Service (1) nutrition education and student services in cooperation with principal and $9.00 Hourly
state guidelines.
Janitor (1) To perform maintenance and janitor duties. $8.00 Hourly
Parental involvement and support the professional services to help ensure
Volunteers each child receives the education that will lead them to a healthy and N/A
fulfilling life.
Five Step Training Process and Type of Training
1. Analyze the training need – The employees of Villa Rica Head Start/CAFI was the
first to recognize the need for additional training. Due the changes in the state
educational requirement and technological changes.
2. Design the overall training program – An informal training is selected to provide
the necessary upgrading or advanced training.
3. Develop the course – An organizational assessment need to give to all employees
to decide the particular training needed to meet the objective limiting the cost
for the training. CAFI organization does offer individualize paid formal training
when needed to each employee.
Five Step Training Process and Type of Training
1. Implement training, by actually training the targeted employee group using methods such
as on-the-job or online training – Online instructional method can provides quality
training opportunities at a relatively low cost or no cost at all and reducing training
time. The select online sites of focus on step by step and self-learning methods to
program learning.
• Presenting questions, facts, or problems to the employee
• Allowing the employee to respond
• Providing feedback on the accuracy of the answers and what’s to follow next.

2. Evaluate the course’s effectiveness – Measuring the training outcome had to be given to
the employees by evaluation the training including that of getting the employees’
reaction on the training program, assess the employees on what they have learned and
the achieving results from the programed training.
Annotations
Villa Rica Head Start/CAFI employees are more than just co-
workers; they are a team. The entire staff are an assets, and are
recognized by their ability to provide quality help and services for
the community with the assistance of each and every one of their
employees.
The organization pursued suitably qualified consultants to aid
employees in contributing to the achievement of department
goals and the agency’s mission and vision.
