ABSTRACT

Drilling machine is a most useful equipment used in workshop and production center. It is
important in the workshop for making hole, slot and cutting thread. In this project, portable
versatile drilling machine is developed to operate in universal directions. Its design makes it
user-friendly to drill pieces in all ways. The advantage of this drilling machine is portable and
most resourceful machine than all other drilling. It is used for boring, reaming, thread cutting,
spot facing, counter boring, etc. and also use in printing, automotive and workshop and garages.
Drilling of small size to large size holes are possible with different size drill bits. And, of course,
it can change a position of the drill above or below the workpiece, on a vertical or horizontal
with raising and lowering, the linkage can be moved on the requirement.
It is light duty drill machine and available in steel. It is used with handy and portable to
drill in woodworking and sheet metal applications. It can be covered a working distance of 1.8 m
and a height of 2.3 m, it is based on its length of linkages/arms. Fewer efforts required during the
process of all drilling operations like boring holes, reaming, counter sinking, counter boring,
tapping and spot facing. It is quite compact in size which enables quicker use and operation.
